We are currently seeking individuals who have an excellent telephone manner and a good understanding of the motor insurance process. The ideal applicant will like talking to customers and be able to communicate in a clear and concise manner. The successful candidates will join a small but very successful business where hard work is recognised and progression is expected. This role requires standard working hours of 8am – 5:30pm Monday to Friday with the flexibility to work up to 8pm or Saturdays on rotation.

Insurance Advisor duties:

  • To undertake discussions with prospective and existing clients to obtain data about their needs, and to discuss any existing policy cover
  • To explain the features, advantages and disadvantages of various policies to promote sales and renewals of insurance schemes
  • To ensure that policy requirements are fulfilled, and the complete all appropriate forms
  • To calculate insurance premiums using the company system and establish the client’s payment method
  • To perform administrative tasks, such as maintaining records and handling policy renewals
  • To select the product that offers the type of cover best suited to the client’s needs and offer alternatives where appropriate
  • To attend training sessions to learn about new products and services and to maintain competencies in accordance with FCA requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience of working in a customer service or sales environment
  • Good oral, written, listening and communication skills, good telephone manner, polite and courteous
  • Hard working and committed to the role
  • Able to develop product knowledge and understand regulations and compliance
  • Ability to work under pressure, organise workload effectively, and meet deadlines
  • Able to work to a high standard and level of accuracy Good general educational to GCSE standard or equivalent
  • Strong administration and organisational skills
  • Capable and competent user of Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word and Excel) and excellent keyboard skills
